Lyre-variant

Lyre-variant was commissioned by Poet and Author Dr Sean Lysaght for his private residence in Fahy Westport Co Mayo. It was inspired by the Greek myth of Aeschelus and the antler of a wild deer. It was installed in 2013. It is made from laminated Irish Oak with stainless steel. It is 2.5 metres high and 3 metres wide.  It was made using boat building methods of lamination in collaboration with Ruairi Mc Connell woodworker. It was installed on site in 2013.

Lyre-variant
Below is the model for the sculpture Lyre which was made from laminated Irish Oak and brass wire.The model is 300mm long and 200 mm wide.
