Join Aidan Crotty, one of Ireland’s most accomplished contemporary painters, for an inspiring two day workshop exploring observation, light, colour and composition. Through demonstrations, practical exercises and individual mentoring, participants will strengthen their painting skills while developing a more confident personal approach to making art.

Aidan is an award-winning Irish painter whose work is recognised nationally and internationally. In 2020, he was selected for the prestigious Zurich Portrait Prize at the National Gallery of Ireland, and in 2022 he received the ESB Keating Award and Silver Medal at the Royal Hibernian Academy, alongside the Jackson’s Painting Prize (UK) for Still Life/Botanical Painting.

A graduate of Crawford College of Art & Design, Aidan completed the renowned Turps Banana painting mentorship programme in the UK. His paintings are held in the collections of the National Gallery of Ireland, the Office of Public Works, AXA Insurance and Munster Technological University.

Suitable for both beginners with some painting experience and established artists, this workshop offers a rare opportunity to learn directly from an award-winning painter in a supportive and inspiring studio environment.
