Halo

Halo is an unrealised public art proposal for the victims who suffered institutional abuse in Ireland. My proposed idea was to create a dynamic and interactive light space driven by web technology. The viewer would be able to upload a persons name which would then morph into a sequence of colours that would swirl and drift into the sky. In this way the people who suffered institutional abuse would be remembered. A central L.E.D light ring would be suspended and using a data driven sequence create random colours for each name.

My idea would be to create a public space for remembrance.
